navlakha mahal udaipur

Navlakha Mahal - Arya Samaj Satyarth Prakash Bhawan Udaipur, In the world-famous city, Udaipur. Inside the main tourist place, Gulab Bagh, the Navlakha Mahal is built.

This palace can also be called the heart of Gulab Bagh because just as our heart circulates the blood in our body, in the same way this palace also communicates our ancient rites, culture and Vedic knowledge to the hearts and minds of Indian people.

This is the same palace in which the founder of Arya Samaj, Swami Dayanand Saraswati composed the world-famous book Satyarth Prakash by staying in here for about six and a half months in the year 1882.

Who built Navlakha Mahal in Udaipur?

If we talk about the construction of this palace, then it was built by Maharana Sajjan Singh in the nineteenth century. At that time this palace was used by Maharana Sajjan Singh as a guest house.

In the year 1992, the government gave this palace to Arya Samaj to develop it as a monument, since then efforts are being made to make it beautiful and attractive as well as develop it as a cultural centre.

It is the result of this effort that today this palace is changing in a new form so that the new generation can get knowledge of Indian rites and traditions.

Places to watch in Navlakha Mahal

The most prominent among the places of interest of the palace are Vedic Sanskar Gallery, Aryavarta Picture Gallery, 3D Theater etc.

On entering the palace from the gate, there is a Vedic Bookshop on the right side from where you can buy Vedic literature as well as many other types of books.

For entry into the main palace, you have to buy a ticket for a nominal fee from here. The special thing is that a free guide is also provided to tell about all these sightseeing places of the palace.

The main palace is built in the shape of a dome, in which, as soon as you enter, a statue of Swami Dayanand is seen in a sitting posture in front of a large hall.

The basic principles of ancient Indian life are represented by models all around the bottom of the hall. These principles tell human beings about the way of living their life which are called 16 Sanskars.

On entering the Aryavarta picture gallery from the side of the hall, there is a large corridor in C shape in which the life of Swami Dayanand along with sages, scriptures, revolutionaries of ancient India are depicted through paintings.

Satyarth Prakash Room was written place of Satyarth Prakash

Ongoing further from here comes Satyarth Prakash Room. This place was used as the writing room of Swami Dayanand Saraswati and in this room Swamiji wrote his world-famous book Satyarth Prakash.

Now a 14-angled and 14-story Satyarth Prakash Stambh or tower has been installed in this room, each angle of which is a chapter in itself.

Next to this, in the last part of the corridor, in a revolving glass, translated texts of Satyarth Prakash in 24 languages are shown.

A hi-tech 3D theater has been prepared in Navlakha Mahal, in which visitors will be shown informative short films related to Indian culture.

In the end, it can be said that coming to the place where a great person like Swami Dayanand Saraswati created a book like Satyarth Prakash and lit the light of Vedic knowledge, the only means to come to that place is to receive that knowledge.

Therefore, all Indians must visit Navlakha Mahal at least once in their life and give their indirect contribution in the spread of Vedic knowledge.
